Hikes & Tours

Hiking and Historical tour days will start with the group meeting up in Chora where we will head to one of the local bakeries to make introductions while getting a coffee or pastry. From there, the group will set out on foot for our chosen hike or tour. Activity variations are listed below:

Flat Rock Cliff Jumping

Hike out with us to this hidden gem in Ios to enjoy a day of swimming, sun tanning and cliff jumping. This 30-minute hike takes you into the hills above Mylopotas beach to a secluded bay with incredible clear blue water where we will set up a picnic with drinks, snacks and music. While we are here, the option will be available to swim out to several areas where safe cliff jumping is possible.

Harmony Rocks Cliff Jumping

This incredible hidden bay sits a short hike behind Harmony, one of our favourite restaurant/bars on the island. From this location you will be able to see all of Mylopotas beach and some of the beautiful residences on the coast of the island. While we are here we will have a day party with drinks on ice, snacks and music. This location is the site of the famous Ios tradition, Floatopia, that occurs 3 times a year. Safe cliff jumping opportunities will be available.

Three Beach Hike

Starting in town and walking down towards the port of Ios, this hike will take you away from the busy atmosphere of Chora and allow you to take in the beauty of this Greek island. With swim stops at the stunning beaches Yailos, Tzamaria & Koumbara, this day will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Daseli Traditional Cheese Estate Tour

Interested in what life was like on the islands before they had electricity and running water? Do you love cheese? If the answer to either of those questions was yes, you’re in luck! This amazing attraction blends history and food to take you into the life of a traditional cheese farmer during the 18th century in Ios. Following the museum walkthrough, we will all sit down to taste all of the products that are produced on the estate to this day.

Skarkos Archaeological Ruins + Museum

Starting in town we will hike out to one of the best-preserved Bronze Age settlements in the Agean, Skarkos. Throughout this tour we will explore the ruins and discuss what life in this settlement would have looked like for inhabitants of different social statuses as well as the uses for several of the uncovered buildings.
